Alina Gagliola
About Alina Gagliola
Alina Gagliola is currently a Captain on the Embraer 145 at Piedmont Airlines based in Philadelphia, PA. She earned her Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Alina’s interest in aviation started as a freshman in high school from frequently traveling the world. Alina’s first ever flight lesson was at Embry-Riddle at 18 years old. From there she continued to explore her love for aviation by becoming a flight instructor at the University.
During her time as a flight instructor, she had the privilege to be a part of the Organization of Black
Aerospace Professionals’ ACE Academy flight program, where she was able to fly with middle
to high schoolers and share her passion.
On her days off, Alina enjoys using her flight benefits to continue traveling the world. When she is home, she also enjoys relaxing, hanging out with her friends/family, and at times will speak at local schools or events as a Professional Pilot.
Alina is appreciative that there are more programs to date that offer students a chance to explore aviation and have better access to obtaining their pilots license.
